Please note: This article has been updated to reflect design changes.

The ACRO Global Tourism Marketer website is FREE for anyone to use anytime.

But to take full advantage of TourismMarketer.com as a resource, and benefit from all its features, you need to become a member and create a profile through which you can network with the other members and me.

Current members include tourism professionals working in 62 countries worldwide at organizations like the Adventure Travel Trade Association, Alabama Tourism Department, FleishmanHillard PR, Icelandair, Kayak, Kenya Tourism Board, London School of Economics, Maine Tourism Association, Peru Tourism Promotion Agency, Quebec City Tourism, Skift, Thomas Cook, Tourism Ireland, Visit Finland, more.

Member benefits include:

  • Access to other members' profiles, for networking
  • Access to members-only premium content
  • E-mail alerts of new posts on subjects of interest
  • Ability to comment on articles

Only other members and the Admin (me) will be able to view your profile, and contact you by e-mail or IM if you so choose in your profile settings.

To join if not already a member, just go to https://www.tourismmarketer.com/articles/register.php and enter your name, e-mail address and a password, and our system will log you in.

If already a member, just go to https://www.tourismmarketer.com/articles/ and click the Log In link on the navbar:

Then log in with your name and password. For purposes of example I'm going to use EmmyLou as a test member:

Then, to access the Member Area, click Options on the navbar.

And on the next screen, to get to your profile page, click Edit Profile.

You should get a search result similar to this:

Click the Edit Profile link to open your member profile.

Here's how the top part of EmmyLou's profile looks:

The many fields on this profile page - all fields except your e-mail address are optional - include:

  • Upload an avatar (100 x 100 pixels recommended)
  • Create a signature file to be used with your posts
  • Allow e-mails and/or IMs from Admin or other members?
  • Receive notification of all new articles?
  • Receive notification of articles matching what keywords?
  • Subscribe to threads you post in?
  • Your time zone
  • Your location
  • URL of your website, blog, etc.
  • Your job title
  • Your bio
  • Your interests
  • Your blog RSS feed
  • Your IM handles
  • Your birthdate

For maximum benefit of networking opportunities, make your profile as complete as possible.

And be sure to click Save Changes at the bottom when done!

I look forward to seeing more of you at TourismMarketer.com.
