Most of Europe and North America is looking safe.

Safest countries and cities for travel in 2025

New Risk Map 2025 from Swedish travel intelligence provider Safeture shows world countries and cities their analysts consider tom be safest and most dangerous for 2025.

Per their assessments, 77 countries will be more dangerous for travelers than in 2024.

But plenty of popular destinations are expected to be safe.

Safest countries ("Negligible Risk" ) are expected to include. among others:

  • Canada
  • Republic of Ireland
  • Portugal
  • Norway
  • Germany
  • Czech Republic
  • Japan
  • Australia

Countries expected to have "Low Risk" for travelers include, among others:

  • USA
  • Argentina
  • UK
  • Spain
  • France
  • Italy
  • Sweden
  • Turkey
  • Saudi Arabia
  • China

Safest cities are expected to include:

  • Bern
  • Melbourne
  • Montreal
  • Seoul
  • Singapore
  • Tokyo

While least safe cities in 2025 are expected to be:

  • Beirut
  • Gaza City
  • Karachi
  • Khartoum
  • Mogadishu
  • Port-au-Prince
