Most of the new visitors in July came from Ontario and western Canada. Visits from the USA and overseas also increased a bit.
We're waiting expectantly for 2017 visitation and incremental spend figures attributable to The Cat Portland-Yarmouth ferry.
Engine problems - not repairable until after the 2017 season - have caused The Cat to reduce its schedule to 5 trips/week since 28 June vice planned 6-7 trips.
The Cat is subsidized by the Province of NS to the tune os 23.3M CAD in 2017.
