US visitation down nearly 4% January-June 2017 but Canadians up 5%

The only major source market that sent more visitors to the USA in 1H2017 was Canada (+5%), probably because of the (maybe temporary) strengthening of the Loonie against the USD.
Visitation from the Middle East was down by nearly 30%, from Mexico down 16%.
The Trump administration's position on immigration, and recent terror attacks in the USA, may be factors in the reduced visitation.
