Officially titled "New Investment Initiative for the Production of Film and Audiovisual Works in Greece," the new subsidy scheme is supposed to ensure transparency and speed in funding without bureaucratic delays.
Officials speculate that the fund could eventually increase to as much as 375M EUR over a period of years.
The new incentives should help make Greece more competitive with Bulgaria as a filming location.
