AIB

Allied Irish Banks' Brexit Sentiment Index reflects the sentiment of small and medium enterprises in Ireland and Northern Ireland toward Brexit, expressed as a single number ranging from +100 (very favorable) to -100 (very unfavorable), based on surveys conducted by Ipsos MRBI.

Tourism-related 1Q2018 results:

  • Republic of Ireland Food & Drink businesses: -75 (related to wider economic impact of Brexit)
  • Northern Ireland tourism businesses: -65 (related to concerns re level of visibility)

Regarding "level of visibility": I'm guessing this has to do with concern that no one involved in Brexit is looking out for the interests of NI tourism businesses. I believe that's a legitimate concern.
