Minister Angelkova announced at a meeting of the National Tourist Council that a major international marketing push is coming, intended to increase visitor numbers for 2019. The campaign will involve communication through major online and offline media, and participation in trade and consumer shows.
In 2017, Bulgaria received 11.6M international visits, 59% from EU countries and 31% from non-EU European countries.
And for January-May 2018, visitation was up 11% from the same period in 2017.
Good on Bulgaria! (But you need to get more Americans.)
