Every Memorial Day weekend from 2010 to 2019 volunteers of the Massachusetts Military Heroes Fund have planted a garden of flags on Boston Common in honor of Massachusetts service members who have died defending our country since the American Revolution.
Sadly, because of COVID-19, the garden has to be virtual in 2020. Were it not, there would be 37,309 flags out there on the Common.
