New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu announced on Friday that after being closed since March on account of COVID-19, Seacoast region beaches in Hampton, North Hampton, Rye, Seabrook and New Castle will reopen on 1 June for swimming, walking, running and other active individual recreation - including surfing - but not for sunbathing, group sports or picnicking.
Some beach roads will be closed to vehicle traffic, and parking available in state-owned lots will be reduced by 50%.
