The Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism (MOTT) has announced the availability of FY 2022 Destination Development Capital Grants aimed at supporting projects that enhance tourism resources and infrastructure and aid in destination recovery and resiliency.
This grant program will be funded at $2M through the Massachusetts Tourism Trust Fund, subject to appropriation.
Applications will be accepted from now through 21 May 2021 from any public agency, municipality or nonprofit organization with 501(c)3, 501(c)5 or 501(c)6 status which:
- Produces, promotes or presents tourism attractions and activities for the public; or
- Provides public access to physical collections and exhibits; and
- Meets other eligibility requirements that may apply
Applications will be accepted for capital improvement projects with a lifespan >5 years that would expand, construct, restore or renovate MA tourism destinations and attractions and promote the tourism goals of MOTT and the Regional Tourism Councils.
Projects must be completed by 30 June 2022.
