NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio announced in an interview this morning that he plans to lift all COVID-19-related restrictions in the city by 1 July 2021.
Citing progress in the rollout of COVID-19 vaccinations and a decline in numbers of cases and hospitalizations, Mr. de Blasio said:
“Our plan is to fully reopen New York City on July 1. We are ready for stores to open, for businesses to open, offices, theatres — full strength...I think people are going to flock to New York City, because they want to live again.”
