Vail Resorts has announced in a media release that it has inked an agreement to buy Seven Springs Mountain Resort, along with Hidden Valley Resort and the operations of Laurel Mountain Ski Area - all in the Pittsburgh, PA area. Vail will be paying around $125M for the 3 ski areas plus a hotel, conference center and other related operations.
Seven Springs Mountain Resort, Inc. will retain some neighboring operations, including Highlands Market, Sporting Clays at Seven Springs, Seven Springs Golf Course and Hidden Valley Golf Club, Highlands Resort Realty and other real estate reserved for future development.
The deal is expected to close sometime in winter 2021-2022 and operations are planned to continue as usual. Vail plans to add the 3 PA resorts to its Epic Pass product lineup for winter 2022-2023.
