AAA predicts that more than 109M people - up 34% from 2020 and only 8% below 2019 - will travel 50 or more miles from home between 23 December 2021 and 2 January 2022.
Most (100.1M) will travel by car.
Air travel is expected to be up 184% from last year's holiday season as 6.4M take to the skies.
Another 2.9M are expected to travel by bus, train and cruise combined.

Air-ticket prices for this week are up an average of 5% from a year ago, next week up an alarming 27%.
Mid-range daily hotel rates average $320 this week (up 36% yoy), $267 next week.
