Wyoming Economic Analysis Division reports the state had a record summer for tourism in 2021, surpassing even 2019.
2021 annual tax revenues from tourism were up 85% vs. 2020, with increases of $3.2M in June and $5M in July.
August 2021 tax revenues were up 66.1% vs. 2020, and up 26% vs. 2019.
Michell Howard of the Montana Office of Tourism credits Wyoming's good summer 2021 performance to - along with the availability of COVID-19 vaccines - the state's wide-open spaces, sparse population, abundance of public land and wildlife, and attractive roadtripping opportunities.
