Visit Florida Keys seeking President/CEO
President/CEO duties in a nutshell:
- Oversee use of Tourism Development Taxes collected in Monroe County, FL
- Develop and execute effective marketing, sales and community engagement strategies
- Provide strategic vision and leadership to sustain Florida Keys & Key West as a premier travel destination.
- Sustain the economic welfare of Monroe County
- Advance the mission of the Tourism Development Council
- Drive the achievement of long-range strategic plan
- Ensure professional and fiscal integrity
- Serve as spokesperson and interface with government, media and tourism leaders
- Create a supportive, inclusive and collaborative culture
- Promote excellence
- Adopt industry best practices
- Assemble and manage an excellent destination marketing team
- President/CEO reports to 9-member Tourism Development Council
Requirements:
- 4-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 10 years executive experience preferably in hospitality or tourism
- Success in working with governments
- Experience in working with publicly-funded non-profit boards
- Experience in managing staff
- Strategic business skills and judgment
- Lead teams, interact with people
- Build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders
