Philadelphia kicks off fly-market strategy with Atlanta blitz
Visit Philadelphia has augmented its 2023 "Come for Philadelphia, Stay for Philly" campaign with a strong presence of OOH and digital ads in and around Atlanta. Ads highlight Philadelphia's events, festivals, arts, culture, food and walkability. Campaign is also designed to appeal to diverse visitors: 48% of Atlanta-area residents identify as black or African American.
Media being used in and around Atlanta include print and digital billboards; programmatic ads in doctor's offices, on TV, on jukeboxes in bars, on taxis and Ubers; and on social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
Atlanta, a fly market for Philadelphia, was chosen in part because of the potential for longer visitor stays. Also Atlanta public schools have an October break during which Atlantans tend to travel
Travelers from Atlanta spent more than $1.4M in Philadelphia in 2023.
