Visits from Britain were down by 6% (the weak pound certainly being one cause), while visits from mainland Europe- countries that share the euro with Ireland - were up by 10%. Visits from heavily Irish-American North America were up by 22%.

Note to Tourism Ireland: Keep working on attracting Europeans, but don't neglect the US market.
