The new disclosure law negotiated between Gov. Rick Scott and House Speaker Richard Corcoran as a condition of next year's $76M Visit Florida budget - following last year's Pitbull video scandal (see Related Listings) - requires that "salary and benefit details from public and private funds" of employees and board members of local tourist boards be made public.

So far around a dozen of Florida's 50+ local DMOs have broken co-op advertising ties with Visit Florida in protest.
