Researchers found a wide range of concerns Canadians have when going on vacation, and many different coping mechanisms.

Apparently good weather at the destination is conducive to faster switching to holiday mode.

Accommodations meeting/exceeding expectations, being welcoming and having plenty of amenities also tends to ease the transition.

So: whether you're running a hotel or a DMO, you might have happier visitors and get more return business if you can make their first day a truly good experience.
