Plan is for "Food and Drink Strategy 2018 – 2023" to change visitor perceptions of Irish food and drink from "unexpected surprise" to "compelling reason to visit."

Authors of the Failte Ireland report estimate incremental tourism revenues of up to 400M euro are possible over the 5-year period.
