Older Americans (55+) were somewhat more likely to express concern about terrorism in the Middle East, Europe or Africa.
Also, 22% of respondents said that terrorism concerns have caused them to alter their vacation plans in one way or another:
- Cancel (6%)
- Change destination (5%)
- Change dates (4%)
- Change mode of transportation (4%)
- Change local-tour plans (4%)
- Change acommodations (3%)
- Buy travel insurance (3%)
Respondents planning to travel in the Asia - Pacific region or the Americas also had some concerns about terrorism, but less so (38-55% concerned vs. 63-75%).
