Per AmEx survey of 2000+ people, the top 10 destinations for Americans in 2018 will be: Bali, Costa Rica, Dubai, London, Portugal, Rome, Tel Aviv, Utah, Vietnam and Zurich.
Other interesting findings:
Those benefiting from these trends should include any/all international destinations, particularly those ion the top-10 list; any destination that can sell itself as being new/different and reach prospects who haven't previously visited; and restaurants and other food-service establishments that now cater primarily to a local clientele but would also like to provide authentic experiences to visitors.
