Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh has named Kate Davis of East Boston Director of the Mayor's Office of Tourism, Sports and Entertainment.
Responsibilities of this position include supporting Boston tourism through events, film and TV production, and marketing the city to visitors.
Davis served previously as Director of Operations for the Mayor's Office of Economic Development, and prior to that worked on exhibitions at the Getty Center in Los Angeles, and was a contributor to Rough Guides travel guides. She holds a BS degree in Environmental Science from U Mass Amherst.
