The Las Vegas CVA's new ad campaign "Vegas You" was launched yesterday 26 April 2021 on network, cable and digital media to welcome visitors back as COVID-19 restrictions begin to be relaxed.
The campaign also introduces the city's new tagline "What happens here, only happens here."
Channels used include ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, BET, ESPN, Bravo, Food Network and HGTV. Ads will run during NHL games on NBC, and during NBA games on TNT. Ads will also be digitally streamed via NBC, Fox and other digital and social-media channels.
February visitor numbers to the city were up 19% from January, but down 54% year-on-year.
A second wave of ads is scheduled to begin running in May.
The new campaign comes as occupancy limits are being increased to 80% and social-distancing requirement is being reduced from 6 feet to 3 feet.
Nevada has a statewide goal if increasing occupancy to 100% of capacity by 1 June.
