Proposed changes were: (1) 2017 closure of cod fishery to for-hire anglers; (2) 2017 bag limit of 12 haddock for all anglers; (3) shortened 2017 haddock season for for-hire anglers.

Public comments were accepted until 22 August.

Recreational fishing adds close to $1B to the MA economy annually.
