Although New Hampshire Motor Speedway still has a NASCAR Cup Series Qualifying race scheduled for 19 July, the prospects of a poor 2020 US summer tourism season have led NHMS owners Speedway Motorsports to restructure their company, eliminating 180 jobs at 8 speedways and furloughing an additional 100 employees.

It's unknown at this point how many employees at Loudon will be laid off or furloughed.

As of today 4 May 2020, of 16 NHMS events originally scheduled for May, 6 have been postponed and 7 canceled.

Because of the rescheduling of Laconia Motorcycle Week to 22-30 August, the 97th Loudon Classic motorcycle race at NHMS has been moved to 29 August.
