Attitash Mountain Resort in Bartlett NH is among New England ski areas being acquired by Vail Resorts.
Colorado-based Vail Resorts announced in a media release yesterday that it will be acquiring Peak Resorts (NASDAQ: SKIS) which owns 17 ski areas primarily in the Northeast and Midwest, including:
- Mount Snow in VT
- Attitash Mountain Resort, Wildcat Mountain and Crotched Mountain in NH
- 13 other ski areas in NY, PA, MO and IN
Completion of the $11/share (about $264M) acquisition is contingent upon the approval of regulators and Peak Resorts' shareholders.
The deal is expected to be closed in fall 2019. Once that happens, Vail Resorts has said it plans to extend its 2019 passes to include the new mountains.
