Last January, the US Supreme Court ruled that the Wampanoag tribe have a right to build a Class 2 gaming facility - a slots parlor - on its land on Marthas Vineyard.
Now Global Gaming Solutions - the business arm of the Chickasaw Nation, headquartered in Ada, OK - has announced that they've been hired to build the Marthas Vineyard gaming facility.
The Wampanoags have also been hoping to build a casino in Taunton, but that's now on hold since The Department of the Interior last week reversed an earlier decision putting the Taunton site in trust to the tribe.
