After an 8-month ban, Canadians who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 can now once again travel by air and train.
And as of 1 July, random COVID testing of incoming vaccinated travelers at airports will end.
Also vaccinated travelers entering Canada are no longer required to:
- Wear masks in public spaces
- Monitor and report the development of COVID-19 symptoms
- Quarantine if another traveler in the same group developed symptoms or tested positive
- Maintain a list of close contacts and locations visited
In 2020, because of COVID-19, the Canadian tourism industry lost 50% of spend, 9% of business establishments and 900,000 jobs.
