BDaily reports that Irish budget airline Ryanair has announced its intent to shift services away from the UK toward the EU - including Italy, Germany and Spain - as a result of political and economic uncertainty following the June Brexit vote.
Ryanair uses Stansted as its European base, with 40 aircraft located there.
Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary said:
"We will pivot our growth away from UK airports and focus more on growing at our EU airports over the next two years. This winter we will cut capacity and frequency on many London Stansted routes, although no routes will close.“
