Per this article in fvw, the German Travel Association DRV reports that after years of increased overall sales, German tour operators are seeing massive net decreases as 40-60% sales falls for Turkey, Egypt and Tunisia outweigh growth in other destinations.
For the year ending 31 October 2016, operators suffered a 4% drop in combined revenues to 26.3B euro.
On a more encouraging note, sales of tours to Spain, Portugal, Greece and Bulgaria had double-digit growth in summer 2016, and sales of cruise holidays increased also.
Regarding summer 2017, DRV notes that "it is too early to make any forecasts for summer 2017 due to very low booking volumes so far."
